Dipping into Fighter is always an ideal move for any Class, especially the Bard whose slate of utility abilities could use combat enhancements by this Multiclass. Thanks to the Fighter’s more aggressive kit, a Bard can get into any position without worrying about survivability. Here are things to take note of when proceeding with a Fighter Multiclass as a Bard:

As a Level 11 Fighter, players can attack three times in a single turn, but by putting one point into barbarian, they can attack four times minimum every turn – as long as a bonus action isn't used for another ability.

Players who reach this point in their Bard’s career have likely stuck with a straight Bard build or accessed certain levels of Multiclass to expand their combat versatility in Baldur’s Gate 3 . At this point in time, players can make further progress with their Bard to make them the ultimate Skill experts or specialize further in their intended combat roles. These combat options make the Bard more powerful in the endgame:

Among ranged weapons players can encounter in Baldur’s Gate 3 , the Longbow +2 is perhaps a must-have for any character who wants to dominate long-distance combat. This weapon’s only setback is its acquisition before the final fight in the game’s story, particularly when looted from the Darkening Hunt if a Ranger is in the player’s party. However, players who want a safe weapon to use in the game’s perilous final battle, the Longbow +2 can become a nifty secondary armament that may be more dependable compared to other effect-heavy varia

Naturally, an archery build will need a good bow. Some of the best shortbow options early on are the Hunting Shortbow, Bow of the Banshee, and of course the incredible Darkfire Shortbow. The Joltshooter or Titanstring bow are perfect early longbow options, In the lategame, the best bows to choose would be the Dead Shot or the legendary bow Gontr Mael. If you prefer crossbows, you should pick up Giantbreaker or Harold from the Zhentarim in Act 1, or the Crossbow of Arcane Force from Creche Y'llek. In the late game, you can swap out for the Fabricated Arbalest or Hellfire Engine Crossbow.

For Rogues, this means sacrificing some Sneak Attack damage for the ability to perform another Sneak Attack in the same turn. Getting to Rogue 10 keeps Sneak Attack's bonus damage at a nice 5d6, and getting two of them off in one turn means a total of 10d6 damage on top of regular weapon damage – plus, the ability to wear heavier armor is a nice bonus, too.

As with other RPGs similar to Dungeons & Dragons , it makes sense for Baldur’s Gate 3 players to want to prioritize an Ability Array that focuses on the Bard’s greatest strengths: that being Charisma and Dexterity. With the above considerations taken into account, here is an ideal setup for an Ability Array that maximizes the Bard’s performance in the early game:

Darkfire Shortbow (1d6+2, Shortbow, Rare): The free Haste alongside Fire and Cold Resistances can make this Shortbow ideal for both offense and defense. Even if Haste is only available once per Long Rest, it can give the Bard and even another ally a much-needed boost to their offensive potential.

Though many classes have a lot of leveling choices, as a melee class, this BG3 Rogue build doesn't rely on spells and, as a result, a lot of levels don't give you anything to choose from. Though Rogues get plenty of new abilities through their subclass and class features, these are automatically unlocked for your character.

At Level 1, Second Wind grants a Bonus Action Self-Heal ability once per combat, then at Level 2, players get an Action Surge to grant an extra Action once each combat. Later on, Fighters gain better Saving Throws, Extra Attacks, and Fighting Styles, too.
